Backend Python Developer opportunity with an innovative tech scale-up working on their market-leading location services product. This is a fully remote role, with office space available if candidates prefer.

Our client has developed unique technology that uses existing smartphone devices to localise people within a certain range. They are looking for a Backend Python Developer to join their talented team and play a key role in the design, development and maintenance of their cloud-based product.

Main Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the architecture of products, defining the architecture the cloud product will run on
• Design, development, and maintenance of server-side features
• Maintain the product, building support infrastructure to test and deploy products
• Using Jenkins CI and other CI tools
• Developing helm and Terraform
• Linking the product to metric tools such as Grafana and Victorops

Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years developing and maintain secure cloud-based systems, accessed by a high quantity of users
• Experience of designing scalable RDBMS and NoSQL databases
• Strong experience using Python in a commercial setting
• History of working in agile project management frameworks highly desirable
• Knowledge of React is preferable
• Must have experience using AWS or similar cloud platforms, alongside web frameworks
• Other tools that would be beneficial include Docker, Postgres, Rabbitmq, Kubernetes, Conda, Jenkins CI and git
