Fractional Chief Finance Officer opportunity with a high-growth EdTech start-up. This is a part-time, remote position in the UK.
Our client is a fast-growing EdTech company based in London making a significant impact in the education sector. They are now looking for a fractional or part-time Finance Director to help with strategy and execute operationally.
This role will suit someone experienced in strategic financial planning, has a keen eye for improving cash flow and margins, and is knowledgeable about raising capital. You will also have previous experience with helping startups with Series A or VCT funding rounds.

About the role:
- Develop and execute strategic financial plans to support the company’s growth and profitability
- Provide expert advice on raising capital, including preparation for a potential Series A or VCT funding round in 2025
- Assist with finance-related tasks to ensure smooth financial operations
- Improve cash flow management and optimize margins/EBITDA in the case of a potential exit
- Work closely with the executive team to drive financial performance and strategic initiatives
- Offer insights and recommendations based on financial analysis and market trends
About you:
- Several years of experience in a senior finance role with a startup or high-growth tech business at Series A stage
- Demonstrable track record of strategic financial planning and capital raising
- Strong understanding of cash flow management and margin improvement
- Experience with Series A or VCT funding (Series B and above not applicable)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with the executive team and provide actionable financial insights
- Proactive, with a strategic mindset and the ability to drive financial performance
- Day rate (outside IR35) dependent on relevant experience
